Thats a cool way of opening the r70 i have one... but to avoid breaking the lock or pick, just use heavy tension and if one pin is not going up reduce just a slight bit, this lock is so readable at high tension its almost to easy... but non the less a cool little trick

i found with lock design like this that have call for alot of tension to actually turn the key, bouncing the tension rod not actually to release the pins but enough to test if they are all set. you can see in the video that i was bouncing my thumb. when i first got this i was so confused because it was difficult for me to pick but then i realised that i picked it but i wasnt giving it a good enough turn.

Yea man i hear you on the tough tension. It adds just another variable to the equation. I single pin pick it, i might give your method a try though, looks fun
