I suggest spending a buck or two at southord. I got a new tension wrench in the mail the other day and it is very well made.

Do you know how to pick a lock?
If not have a look for the MIT guide and have a good read on how to do it, i think it will cover most of your upcoming questions.

Ye aman M.I.T for sure, and picks arent super expensive. I never had it but the have a Southord 5 piece pickset with all the basics and a tension wrench and a book and picking..never read the book but for like what 20 4 PLUS 6.95 SHIPPING you cant beat it. Or just do the ye' old method of the bench grinder and hacksaw blades. Good luck anyhow buddy

Just as an aside, you need TWO, not one tool. You do know that, right?
Considering you're using wire and hammer to make tools, I'd recommend you just buy your own. It's like $10 for a set (I have the SouthOrd 11 tool set and it's worked great for wafers, tumblers, even a high security lock sans sidebar, as well as a tubular lock). If you don't have the experience to do real locks yet, using makeshift tools won't help you learn any faster.

Hey man i dont htink anybody will give you there set especially if you parnets dont consent to you owning it. But i must say that you well on your way to becoming a good lock picker by creating your own tools. Because as far as prefabricated ready to go picks, there basically just standard dimensions. But When making a pick( once you get the hang of it), developed picks for you practice locks expierement and finds ones that will pop them open with minimal to no effort. I have roughly 20 picks of all kinds, the handle and such are cut to southord demnsions but the actual pick is all creativity. Good luck with that buddy. Oh yea and before i for get if your doing saw blades, a little tip is to type in "Pick Templates" in the search area and then print and stick to the saw blade and cut to size, ofcourse afterwards sanding with semi coures sandpaper to rough away the leftover fileings, and then fine fine grit sand paper to smooth its and give it a good shine.. you can choose to poolish them to make them even more smooth. But good luck hope i helped here a little bit.

It would have been awsome if someone wanted to give me their pickset, if they aren't gonna use the anyway, do't mind my parents, they don't have to know about it! hehe!
I have managed to create a hook pic and a tension wrench but I am not quite finished with the tension wrench yet!
