picking 'upside down' locks

When picking euro cylinders, does anybody look at them upside down (like looking at a US cylinder normal) or do they pick them they way they are - pushing the pins down to the shear line?

I had a lockout once where the knobset was fitted upside down. I just picked it upside down with my pickgun and got it open quickly (cheap & nasty lock) I read somewhere that someone had a pickgun designed to click downwards. Is this a modification or an actual product? Any video clips of these in action?

I remember seeing that in a post a while back. I'm pretty sure it was a modification, as I've never seen a pick gun sold like that.

There is a mod on site somwhere but i couldnt find it for the other threasd either.

(I've heard there's also a company doing similar modifications)

That's just silly!!!!

Surely it is easier to turn the whole door upside down to begin with, then the pins are the right way up for picking.

To be honest it doesnt matter to me, whether they are in a euro or a cylinder ive got used to just automatically turning the pick the way its needed but with a pick gun you are better to turn the gun over as well which with a manual one is quite awkward to use.

As for spinning the door around yes you could do that as long as the frame goes with it an alternative is to dangle from a rope tied to a nearby tree and wait for the earth to turn around or you could wait until the time the earth is he other way up and then go and tie yourself up to save waiting so long

Seen that. Made my day! It sure beat the SSDeV folks picking a heavy-duty padlock with a plastic french fries fork on german TV.
