okay i honestly have no idea if how to open this lock has been posted already or not. but hey I'm a newb. Its a ShurLok security lock box
here's a pic of it

Image

there is more info on it at this site

http://www.padlocks4less.com/Shurlok/Main.htm

But ne ways here's how to open it

tools needed
-small flash light {ideally one that u can focus the beam} (i used a AAA Maglite)
-patience

procedure

*note u can start on either end it doesn't matter with this lock

1.look at the combo dials if u pull one on one of them with pressure exerted toward the left (try the right too, for me it has varied from lock to lock)

2. while still pulling the dial, look at the other side of the said dial, shine ur flashlight at this small slit that should be there (u may have to focus the beam a little to get it to shine into the slot enough)

3. u should be able to see a shiny surface in the slot. while stilling shining the light into the slot rotate the dial one number at a time until you see an edge start to appear. keep rotating the dial until you can no longer see the edge. after that tho do not continue to turn that dial ne more at least not yet

4. now repeat this for each dial

5. after u have done this for each dial. rotate each dial one number in the same direction. each time pulling on the shackle after each dial has been turned once

6. continue to do this until the shackle pops open and then u've got ur self the combo for this lock.

*the combo for the shackle at least no idea how to open the key compartment any help on that part of this lock would be greatly appreciated.

Its nothing new and you add or subtract somthing like 4 from each number or somthing to get the combo,

I will say its refreshing that youve worked it out yourself though as we usually get people wanting to break into brief cases and wanting to know how.

Keep playing and you will realise a way you can do it quicker and without the torch  a tip would be to look for seasime decoders but you might want to spell it correctly and not follow my lack of spelling skills

Mine is inside of a frog that is sitting in a bush... The bush is hidden so it can't be picked or cracked

Sesamee is a brand of padlock, that is basically just combos. There is something called a Sesamee decoder that you can get for about 10 dollars which works for most combination locks. Neat little tool and it comes with instructions, but search the web and I am sure you can find more clearer instructions on how to use it.

thanks sams choice that actually does help me out alot. one problem with that whole bit of info is the price tag its more than i can afford rite now. considering that i'm a freelance photgrapher, high school, junior, and currently more broke than a dropped vase. by any chance do u know if it is possible to make a decoder ur self? if so do u know how to do it or where i could find out how to make one? (and yes i have searched for this topic at with the search feature)

Just get a glance at one on a website, try and get dimensions and if you cant, fabrication and manipulation time, just play around till you get one to fit, i have seen them around there not hard to make. Nothing a hacksaw balde couldnt do. Try Pm'ing Pryo, his video is basically famous i am sure he would have a pointer.

Yes i was meaning the tool not the cheapo locks,

They are very easy to make and there are loads of threads on them on this site you just need to hone your search fu a bit more
Get a junior hacksaw blade and remove the teeth along with a nother few mm, then you have your tool,

If you are so por you can not buy a blade then cut up the lid from your butter tub,

If you are poorer than that go get a hat and a piece of cardboard, go site on a corner with the hat on the floor and write need money for picks on the cardboard
