hi, i recently got a bathroom doorknob with a lock that you activate by pushing on a button. the package that came with the lock had a piece of straight metal wire twisted at one end for the lock. the knob itself had a little hole that you put the metal wire into to open the lock. i cant open the lock with the wire. does anybody know how you can open these locks. thanks for the help.

We had similar locks for our bathrooms in the U.S.
If the button was pushed in from the inside, they were locked.
In that case, pushing a thin straight object into the hole on the outside would open it again from the outside (e.g. in case a child locked himself inside and couldn't open the door anymore).
Just simply pushing the wire into the hole.
Did you try that on yours?

The other kind of these locks requires that you insert something like a small screwdriver and turn to unlock.

Anything small with a flat edge will flip it over, but it is a screw on the inside so you have to make sure ur dead on or it will just miss around the screw.
