Does anyone have any tips for picking locks with the pins on the bottom (both driver and key pins, and springs)? If a key pin doesn't come back up, does it mean it's set? or could it be false set, going too far down?
Pick it the same way you normally would. If you have a feel for the pins, you should be able to tell if it is set or not. The pins will only be pushed back up if they are not set. However, like set pins, overset pins and partially set drivers will not be pushed up, as they are being bound down. You will have to just learn from experience what a pin feels like in each state.
