I applaud Exoduss on making a better comparison. Theres no doubt a bump key can be very vauluable to a lockie.

But i also enjoyed his opionson the matter. It was well written. Ofcourse everyone has there own views.

I think his was very well done.

Great job mate :)

Also ifi was a lockie, i would try to make what i do look very technical.. meaning electro picks look a bit more techy the average person.. but a key? May put worry and as lockies our job is security and peace of mind.

Either way jsut my thoughts. But once again very well written mate :)

I use the bump key as an additional tool for lock outs. I will usually start with my snap pick, then switch to hand picks, pick gun, then bump key and last of all the 18 volt Makita rotory pick. I have used bump keys 2 x in the last year and I understand the concern of looking like a pro, but I will avoid any type of destructive entry

That already shows your professionalism :)

I just meant more or less.. not even in a showing off sence, hand picks or a sanp gun or eletro is someting average folk don't see.. so they concidere it a specialized tool fora professional.

But it is bump or drill i will take bump anyday like you :)

I already used a bump key for a freind at church... but kinda hid exactly what i was do.. missdirection it you will still bumped it.. jsut didn;t make it look easy.. like an average joe deal :) .
