If you've just locked ureself out of your car and need to open it in an emergency without damaging anything, you might want to skip past the lock part and look for another method of bypass.

Perhaps you should invest in a door wedge and those auto opening tools meant to manipulate the lock buttons on the inside in order to unlock the door. I've seen it done a couple of times and its generally very quick (couple of minutes tops). Although if it were an emergency, i dont think damaging anything would be too much of an issue with me.
