brinks security pins?

i recently got a n old brinks padlock, its pretty heavy duty and i figured i wouldnt b e able to pick it due its rust and corrosion and its a brinks. but it was actualy very easy. i thought all brinks locks had spool or mushroom pins. was i completely wrong, or is this just a fluke due to the keying pattern?

not all brinks padlocks have security pins, and i suspect that older ones are less likely then newer ones to have spools. maybe some more information about the lock (pictures or anything) would help.

If it does have spool or mushroom pins, your tension might have been JUST right to get past them. If you got it picked, look down the shackle hole for a set screw, see if you can remove the cylinder for analisys. Otherwise, just have fun with it. Maybe you can find another Brinks lock and compare the two.
