how would a pick a master lock no.5? any help would be appreciated.

with lock picks and a tension wrench... apply tension and then find the pin that binds... set it... find the next... set it ... repeat until open

Seeing as you're new here I'd have to say search for Digital Blue's guides. Basically you need to put light tension on the lock, and figure out which pins, in order, are binding. Push 'em up in that order until they click, and move to the next. Simple as that, good luck! :P
