Back to front? Front to back?

Postby TruLuV305 » 8 Mar 2007 15:28

So im consistently opening my kwikset and reconfiging the pins so that i get a different combo after i open it a couple times, heres my problem, when the front pins are high and the back are low , i usually overset the front, ive already seen topics on this and im just wondering which method is best when encountering a new lock, ( i have 2 unopend padlocks , and another kwickset deadbolt, that i would like to open straight out of the box)

So back to front or front to back?

the back to front usually gives me an unexpected opening, which is great but i feel like i stumbled upon it and i want to KNOW that i did it out of skill,

The front to back is much more satisfying as you knock em out but sometimes the high front pins make it impossible.

thanks for your help!!

Traditionally, start in the back. Sometimes that won't work, it all depends on the binding order of the pins.

Here are some words of wisdom on the subject from Varjeal. Read the stickeys, the best info on this site is found in them.
