Hey just wanted to post a little tip for people having trouble with the short pins in the back and the oversetting of middle pins,
Repin your cylinder to have a teeny little pin in the back and huge ones in the middle, this way youll have the problem always , then when you get to the back youll notice you have to angle your short hook (if thats what you use, its what i use almost exclusively) down and youll finally feel it unbind, then most likely itll be the 2 long ones followed by the very easy front.
Im no pro myself but it helped me so i thought id spread the word.

Thats what Ive been doing on myactice board.
I have 3 locks , and they are all pined diferent.
I knew I had been strugling with short pins in the back, so I pined my locks to challeng me.
I really try not to touch the board while picking, trying to resemble a lock on the door.
I try to dim the lights so i feel more than see , the next thing is to have my wife stand behind me and start talking , that really helps,,,NOT.
I ve been practicing alot , so Ill be ready when the time comes.
Just one question are there magnetic pins in some locks?

There are ways to do it without repinning which obviously is not the best way to do it because it's not always possible. I recommend never repinning your lock unless your aim is to make it more difficult to pick. If you have the ability to repin your lock and then try to pick it, you are almost certaintly practicing. Digital Blue's pyramid learning method not withstanding, if you're going to practice on a lock, make it more difficult, not less. It's the only way you will learn.
There was a post very similar to this one not too long ago, and I'm sure many others. Try to search for not only your question but for the information you'd like to share. Let's all keep this forum uncluttered, thanks

make yourself a sabana pick, its like the bogota, except the middle peak is a flat valley, works the pins in front and in back while ducking under the middle pins. you might even want to make two or a double ended one with different spacing, such as a two pin valley, and a three pin valley between the two peaks.
