Today at 5:47, I opened my first lock(Master lock Lvl 2 security). So far I have not been able to do so again, but I used a pen clip and a paper clip.

Congratulation's good luck with your next lock.Try making stronger pick's or get some commercial one's as paper clip's and pen clip's are very limiting especially on padlock's as the spring's can be very strong.

I've found that using a pen clip as a tension wrench gives you very poor feedback from the lock. Windshield wiper inserts, now theres a great material to work with. I'll never buy a regular SO style tension wrench ever again.

Like eyes already stated, Now that you have the basics and understanding of what it is that you need to do. Its probably time to move into some decent tools.
