Yes, I'm pretty sure it's a Kwikset clone since it was purchased at WalMart and I think it was a dollar or two cheaper than the real things so that would be my guess. Originally I practiced with this lock in my hand but I wanted to get the feel of it in a door and the only one I could install it in was the door to my room. So at the moment I don't have a doorknob, I have a deadbolt. It's kinda funny to look at really. Chucklz, I think you mean to take apart the lock and pick it in my hand again. (hopefully I understood that correctly) I'll give that a try today, thanks for the suggestion. It's a funny situation because if I use the same tension I used to pick in the other direction I can just barely even feel the pins even before starting to pick, let alone the clicks of a good set, and if I add a bit more tension the pins stick a lot. Oh well, I'll just keep futzing with it since it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of the problem were just the fact that I'm relatively new at picking.
