what you need to do it 'search n search' some more and find some guides on lockpicking. Is it your lock? Is the lock in use? Can we see a photo?

dude, no one posts the ABSOLUTE basics, because there covered in the MIT guide and the LSI guide.

MIT guide: http://www.capricorn.org/~akira/home/lockpick/

LSI guide: http://locksport.com/home/index.php?ent ... 027-222056

(click the pdf for the LSI guide and enjoy)

and dont worry ^^ the basic theory is EASY to pick up.. but dont get frustrated if you cant pick a 7 pin lock your first time :P

no matter how much theory you know, it doesent mean you can pick a lock. thats practise and skill, which takes time.

also, i would avoid paperclips.. they never worked for me ^^ you can pick up a cheap set from southord(i started with a MPXS-08), or machine your own..

good luck!

Firstly, that lock does not contain 7 pins, it only contains four. No security pins either, its an easy pick. By the sounds of things you havn't bothered to read anything yet about lockpicking and are just looking for the quick 'learn in 30 seconds' approach. I suggest you read those two guides which simon_G posted thoroughly before you post again. This lock requires nothing more than a little practice to open.

OK the original poster, locksportboy, has been sending me some PM's so i'll try and clear up everything in this thread. The video which he linked to is NOT the lock he wants information about. He has told me that this is his situation:

locksportboy wrote:5 pin is very easy to pick but 7 i just had picked it 1 time only from now i cant do it again the problem is when i insert the pick hook shape pick into the locki pick the first pin then 2nd then 3rd but when i goes to 4th or 5th pin the bloody pick touches to the upper picked pins and the pins come to there original situatuion again so can u help me??? with this situation

So now we have a situation we can help him with, i think. I think the problem may be that you aren't setting the correct pin. The pin that you set should be the one that is binding, that is, the pin that is the hardest to push up.
