when trying to hear the clicks on those master combination locks with the big U thing on it.. is it the loud sharp ones or are they hard to hear? do u have to use a hearing tool etc?

sorry,i dont know what you mean by the "U"thing, but master combination locks have extra cuts cut into them,so that you dont know whick ones are real and whick ones arnt.you will hear 12 clicks but only one of them is real, and as far as i know, there is no way of telling the real clicks.make a key for the back of them, thats what i did and its much easier than listening for clicks.there is a topic on making keys for them somewhere,i cant find it right now.

There are no "clicks" on Master Combination locks. Only sticky points.

Alright, here is the DL from an overly experenced Master Lock freak. I love these locks, so one day I opened one and played with it, and have been messing with them since
There is a difference in the "clicks", you feel it in how sharp they are. The first wheel is sized a bit bigger then the rest, so you can only get the first number this way, but if you jiggle the wheel when its on the right number, it will have a very sharp feeling...there really isnt another way to describe it.
Another factor is that for all the wrong numbers, pulling on the hasp(thats the u shaped thing) hard will give you some vibration in the combo wheel
These are techniques that need to be hard bred in though

Not so formidable, succeptable to the same kind of manipulation as other master combination locks.

My mom got me that lock for xmas a couple of year ago to mess around with, I havn't found any special way of manipulating it... chucklz do you mean a bypass of some sort like sticking a deep hook in somewhere and turning? Or is it just the tradition find the combo through the click and stopping points?

Its the same manipulation as other master combination locks. You just need a different way to apply pressure than pulling on the shackle.

Yeah you have to push down on the button, it's the same as lifting the shackle.
