Feeling tachniques?

Hi i'm am bran spaken' new to lock picking and just got on the forums (greast site!). And i have not got my first lock. the only pad lock i have, is a tiny black pin tumbler master lock, i think it has 2 pins.
I dont have any pro tools right now I'm using a flathead srewdriven, and a paperclip. Any tips???

P.S. i have trouble telling if i have touched pins in the back of the lock, tips?

Please post a picture of the lock and what you are trying to pick it with. You will get more help if we know exactly what you are working with. Seeing your tools will get you advice on how they may be improved. Welcome to the forum, would you like a cup of coffee?

Thats why I asked for a picture of the lock. Either he is mistaken or it's a lock I have never heard of.

mcgyver picks are not the best to learn with, but you could make a fairly good homemade pick from flat steel if you have minimal metal shop skills.
You cannot learn ""feel'''' from inadequate tools,

But heres a 'feel' tip, this one is popular with europeans, possibly because the locks are mounted the other way around,

hold the tip of the first or second finger on the interface between the plug and the cylinder, and you will feel distinct jolts when a pin sets, you cannot see these or feel them unless a fingertip is bridging across the plugh and cylinder on the lock face.
