Alright, I got a COOOOOOOL!!!! lock from my uncle and it has a weird key hole and I've been jiggling my picks in it for HOURS and I have no clue how to even begin to pick it. If I ever open it, it would be a TREMENDOUS accomplishment for me so please try helping me :D.

On the lock it has the text all in caps "NEW MILLENNIUM L.A.I GROUP" and if you want pictures I'll take some right away.

Hope I get some help, THANKS! :D

Does the key hole (keyway btw..) look like a half circle?

If so, it is an Abloy style mechanism vending lock. Your picks are not made to that style of locking mechanism. LAI makes locks for Snack, Soda, newspaper, and other vending machines, and these locks naturally have to withstand all sorts of weather, attacks, and picking.

Some Abloy keyways look like this: (Many companies try to imitate their time tested design.)

keep it as a nice collectible, but don't expect to open that padlock unless you have special tools which I'm not sure they even sell, you have to be .. Jaakko or the CIA to get those tools, and actual discussion of how to open these style locks is limited to the Advanced Forum, so we can't talk about in this thread.

Wow, I didn't even know I had that great of a lock, haha. But yes it it a half circle heyhole, and when I look into it, it looks like there's a lot of disc's in it.

OK, thanks for the info though :).
