Hey darklighter, you obviously have a computer bug. Micro soft is responsible, you should look for the patch.
@ Unsightly, it does matter how you hold the lock and especally how you hold the pick, there is more than one way.

IT is also different with different tools,

With a popsicle handle pick and door hardware at about the level of the common door knob, it is usually necessary for me to get down on one knee and get the closeup look as I hold the popsicle sticks and look at the plug as I pick

With the bogota pair, I can stand and hold the pick just as if I were using a key and pick the lock almost as quickly in most instances.

This is because the pick is designed to be held differently and used differently.

I ask others who use these picks, with this handle to comment on whether they too experienced this.
Wake up and smell the Kafka!!!

Hey my name is Jase and I think I can give you a lot of information. :D I want to start off by saying that I'm Bipolar. NOW STOP WHATEVER YOU ARE THINKING. Let me explain somethings and then you can form an opinion, but I'll have my say first. One of the first things I get asked is something stupid like "Hey....So....Ummm......*wipes drool from chin*.....Do you kill people in your spare time?" and no matter how bad I want to answer in a mocking deep southern accent (nothing wrong with southerners because I'm from W.Va.) and say "Yeeee....Hawwww...I sure do buddy, you should see my back yard!!!" I can't because everyone in the room has gasped and is staring at me in dead silence because I said it. I'm not exaggerating here it really has happened a few times before. I feel that it isn't something I should have to hide. I take my med.s regularly that still allow me to feel emotions, but not over feel my emotions (Bipolar). Off my med.s (before I knew what I had) all I experienced was simple mood swings. I almost turn in to a melodramatic middle school girl (this is flippin funny for my friends if I accidentally miss a dose). I don't cry in the fetal position and scream "I WISH I WAS DEAD!!!" or get the sudden uncontrollable urge to stab the nearest person with a syringe full of Drain-O in the neck, like most people think. I Honestly think it is a gift of some kind because I get to experience situations of all kinds from different points. A lame example would be: I would get mad that the other kid ate my ice cream, but then I'll fade (notice I said Fade not light switch flip) into empathy because I can remember when I never had any ice cream. *Panting now that my rant is over.*

The point in announcing this stuff is that I have noticed different styles that correspond to my mood.
[1] If I'm all chill and stuffs-I can watch television and halfway pay attention to both. The picking becomes a second nature to me and then all the sudden the lock spins. I'll let out a loud yes or maybe a fist pump and reset it. Then I can have another go at it.
[2] If I'm tense and easy to anger my picking becomes more violent on the tools and at greater speed. Picture a person in a competition who is lagging behind as a good mental picture. This doesn't affect my skill level like you think rushing and getting sloppy would because I'm not...it is a whole other style of picking that I'm using. If I get stuck I notice myself instinctively closing my eyes and putting my ear close to the lock, listening to the clicking of the pins. Not sure if it really helps, but I do it anyway. I say that because of my skill level I can't really tell anything from the clicks.
[3] If I'm on an even note and real down to Earth mood I'll get down on one knee (if it is in a wall or whatever{I know not to pick a lock in use} and needs picked) and talk to someone nearby about what I'm doing. I normally don't face the lock with this style. However, I concentrate hard on the lock.

I hope this helps with what you are looking for. Message me if this is too confusing.
It is better to let them think you are stupid than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
