My Bogotas

First thanks to Edmundo.

Image

The first is a modified blank, works perfectly but in some keyways I got some problems.
I will use a new profile blank so it can work with most of the keyways.
I will upload also a modified blank so you can use it without a tension wrench.

The second, is a half Bogota made from a blade I got from a windshiel swipper, I designed only a helf-bogota because there is not a lot of space. I got 4 valleys and pics.
Work perfectly.

The tird is made from copper, a rod used for soldering.
I love it a lot, very smooth. 6 pics and valleys.
With it you can't hear the pics running over the pins. the rod is good for me because I haven't small hands.

Cheers
Hassan

I will post a bogota for dimple, lot of modification but still not working for me.

I'm not sure who Edmundo is, but you should also thank Raimundo when you get a chance.

I like your key blank Bogota, that's cool!

the key blank bogota, have you made that in keymark keyways, I was picking at one of them yesterday and it seemed like that might be the solution to the paracentric keyway.

If you or anyone does this, post it here

I have none of these keymark.
I will post a photo of another blank I will make tomorrow and show you how it is possible to use a blank for a Bogota Design without a tension wrench.

You have just to make you Bogota Blank, remove the middle and keep both the top and the botttom of the blank.

I have also made a very thin blank with a curved blank (for a curved keyway) . I only kept few millimeters and with it I opened all the locks I have at home.

So thin that I break it yesterday night :D

Hi Raimundo,

If you have a special keyway (paracentric for exemple) try this:

- take the blank that fits into the special keyway
- take a piece of metal and draw on it the outline of the blank, so you have a "copy" of the blank
- Take the piece of metal and create a "half Bogota" : the part that is in contact with the pins
- Use a key Duplicator : the source is piece of metal with the "half Bogota"

You'll get a key like the keymark keyways with the design of the Bogota .
Perhaps it will work.
