Hey, I have done this little animation to show, how to pick a lock which contains spool pins. Please tell me, if there is something to improve or something not clear enough. Hope someone could learn something from this Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Lst6m5MZjwBest regards, Mojito

I would change the color of the key pins and make it different than the color of the driver pins, it looks like 1 giant long pin when the video is just starting, this may confuse a new picker into thinking the lock just has long pins in it.
Otherwise, it's a very nice animation, good job!

Quite a nice job! Will show this to some friends of mine who are just learning to pick locks. The only change I could recommend, Squelchtone already mentioned. Different colored driver pins would clarify things. Gordon

This is a good idea. If I do a new animation, I will change the colors. To see every detail, I recommend to view the animation in fullsreen mode and HD.

Thank you for a great animation, I am new but don't really find picking standard pins a problem, but am trying to pick a 6 pin cylinder by starting with 1 spool, then 2 etc. I get up to 4 and pick it easily but with 5 I encounter problems, i think because the 5th pin has a very long key pin but I will keep trying and find a way to overcome it.
