i suggest adding small lateral abrasions to the part of the tool that comes into contact with the brass plug,with some emery paper..this is amazingly effective,as the harder stainless of the tension tool,actually "bites" into the brass,on a micro level.
another tip is to add a small pitch to the blade of the tool as well,allowing the contacting areas to engage with much less rotational movement.

I realize this is a necro'd thread... and that the picker in this video has inspired some controversy that he does acknowledge elsewhere... but video of emery cloth / sandpaper use. Also I feel a good explanation on twists for tension wrenches. My wrenches are mostly custom from windshield wiper steel or ground flat allen keys of various small sizes. Raimundo pls don't hate me... *hides*
