stick it in the hole in the doorknob.

I've seen these locks on newer houses.. or newer doors. The ones i know of just turned

oh i get what u mean by hammer it flat so its like a flat head.... ill try thanks

Heavens! So many answers.

You need a flat head screwdriver small enough to fit through the hole in the middle of the knob. Put it in straight until you can feel the little slot inside, and turn it to unlock the door.

i didnt have a flat head small enough...

i took the knob off the door which i couldnt do earlier cuz the bolts were almost stripped but i got them off then i had to use pliers to turn the inside part which i couldnt get to when i had to knob loosened... it had to be taken off


thanks for all the help! its quiet in my house again!

Yeah, I have similar privacy locks in my house; a small "precision" Phillips screwdriver is used to unlock them from outside. The only tricky part, assuming you have the right size, is pushing the screwdriver in totally straight through the hole; if you skew it, you'll miss the head.
