Shrouded Locks

Hey fellow locksmiths, whassup, I sem to be having trouble with a shrouded lock of mine. I can defintely hear the pins adjusting with the pick buyt they wont all seem to cooperate at once. Any suggestions? I've used raking and single pin and neither work. I've used my professional pick set and my homemade one. I've used every type of pick. HELP! I'd use my gun but I want to get this lock picked the real way be4 i hit easy street (notihng against guns). Anyways, throw something at me. Thanks, Pyro out

ya gotta give us a name for the lock or a photo. have you performed the pin drop count? Normally when there is a problem lock it helps to know what the brand and model is, as that is a link to the specifics of the problem. without that, all I can offer is try thin picks and light tension

Too many shrouded padlocks out there to know which one your dealing with, they don't all have the same security features. Although where I am from most of the ones I encounter have serraded pins.

If its one of the ones in that link you probably just need practice, and you'll get it eventually.
Don't you love it how they say

4 pin cylinder helps prevent picking

Any lock with less than 4 pins should feel ashamed to call itself a lock

No its not one of those, its umm kinda blocky (if thats even a word) umm i dont know how to really describe it. The ones in the pictures i own all of them but this one is different. I guess I'll have to get you guys a picture. Thanks though, i appreciate the effort.

If you need help with this lock, maybe there is someone in your area who could help you. What is the name of the locksmith shop you work at? City? State? Often times the best answer to a problem like this is for someone to show you how to do it. But, like others say, it would be much easier to help you if we knew the make and model of the lock. But your a locksmith, so you have access to all the product catologs and such, so it shouldn't be hard for you to tell us exactly which lock you are talking about. You also, in your locksmith shop, probobly have some key code equipment, if you could give us the depths of the key cuts that might tell us some problems your having (ie high cuts next to low cuts).
