first security pin in under a min

Postby Guesss » 17 Mar 2005 17:54

i have had a lock for a while that came with a security pin in it and i took that one pin out and picked the lock several times. well today i decided to put the pin back in. granted i knew the rest of the pins in the lock but i picked the lock twice in a row in about a min each time. I was really excited.

I didn't pull a noob and just get excited when i got it though.. i actually payed attention to what had happened and waht was happening. i finally understand what it feels like when one pin is a sec pin., well at least a mushroom pin because that is what it was. well at least i think that is the closest thing i can come up with that it would be. it looks like a spool pin but only at the bottom half.

Either way i am excited and i just though i would share with everyone my success.
What if I pick "Pandora's Box"?

Yup, sounds like a mushroom pin to me. Conrats! Now take that mushroom pin and add it into other rekeyable locks (assuming it fits) and make them harder.

you said you know the other pins well, so mix them around making a harder combination of pins to make that lock you have harder to pick. it gets soem more life out of your lock
