i need some templates

Postby MeRZHiN » 11 Jun 2005 7:38

i need some templates on original size. i'm going to make myself some new pics tomorrow. but i don't really have any idea how big they should be. the picks i already made were the ones i got on a 100% template from a magazine called "hack-tic" in an article written by barry "the key" welsh.
so what i'm asking is for templates of existing picks in original size. so i can just put them on my sawblades and measure them that way.

i'll be VERY gratefull to anyone who can provide them to me.

ps, i did search the forum. but i only found resized images.

Um... Alot of the templates i have seen are the proper size when you print them out. Use zeke79s site, it has alot of templates http://nickz.homeunix.com/Lockpicking/Index.html and the user is lockpicking and the password is 101 if you didnt already know.

any ideas on what picks to make best? i'm currently thinking of a few snake rakes and a large hook.

Well i am personally a hook person, Its just self preference. Make a mixture of picks... a couple of hooks, diamonds and rakes.

Goodluck!

- 3X tension wrench (i tend to break them easily)
- 1X large hook
- 1X small hook
- 2X rake
- 2X sawtooth rake
- 1X half diamond
- 1X half round
- 1X full diamond
- 1X full round
- 1X double full round

Well in my opinion this is what i think should be in a basic set.

2x hook (different sizes)
2x diamonds (different sizes)
2x rakes (snake and sawtooth)
2x Tension wrenchs (1 twist flex and 1 without a twist)

And maybe if you have spare you could make a ball. But since i dont use them and just use a diamond and flip it over and use it on both sides i wouldnt include one because it would just be one more pick for me to carry. IMO

maybe, but i really don't mind carrying a lot of picks around. maybe i'll drop the ball picks. funny thing is that i never actually use any other then hook or rake. but on the other hand, i still have no experience. i'll see what i'll make when i'm in front of the girder :) but it will contain at least 2 tension wrenches

This is an old template (a couple of the picks have been fixed up) but if you print them out at A4 size, they should be spot on.

Some things may be pick proof, but everything can be bypassed....
