Still trying to crack Master combo locks

Postby Finaddict » 26 Jun 2005 20:57

I've searched and read some threads on cracking Master combination locks and tried the method of gently pulling on the shackle, turning the dial till it sticks and adding five to it. That didn't work. The dial stops on 35 and the first number is 7. So that would make it adding 12 to it. BTW, this is my lock. (7-20-25)

Are there any other ways to figuring out the numbers for Master locks?

Thanks,
Steve

Yes there are. Masterlock has more hten one sticking point. I belive masterlock has twelve if I'm not mistaken. You need all 12 in order to attempt a crack.

Master Combo Locks

Postby Andyv » 28 Jun 2005 21:39

:D although I'm new at this - I found a site that tells you how to open Master Combo locks.

Yes there are 12 sticking points on the master combo lock. There are only 5 which will fall exactly on the digit. Of those 5 you have to omit all the numbers which have the same 2nd digit (ie 2, 12, 22, 32 or 4, 14, 24, 34).
That leaves you with one number. This is your last number of the combination.

There is a chart available which will give you all the possible numbers (64 I think), you can go thru these in about 5 minutes.

If you can't find this chart - E-mail me and I'll send it to you. I think I had gotten it from searching for it on google. I sort of remember the sequence, but its easier for me to just send you the chart. Let me know.

Also in the comments a few people have made/ported a program to do the math for you...

8) Since I got a couple of e-mails asking for the chart - here is the site I found it on.

You'll find a link for Masterlist on this page - also a lot of info. - I've opened about a dozen locks using this chart.
