I have seen a few people talking about they made some padlock shims but hot really how they made them. I have seen something about VHS tape metal but how do you know how to form it and so on. Any help would be great.

Thanks,

true....guess a lil bit no patience on my part and being tired of reading small letters all of the time. I have been looking around for a while at least 4 hours everyday for the past week or 2 and love this site and want to actually become a locksmith and am going to very shortly check into the laws or whatever in getting setup in my area to become a lic. pro becasue I think that it is very fun and thet I could do very well at it and also have lots of fun just like with my cell-phone biz i own. Anyways thinks for the info guys.

I'd just pay the 20 bucks for real shims. If you need convincing, there's a great video of Barry Wels easily opening a Master padlock with a shim. Southord makes a nice set that fit a variety of locks. http://www.selfdefenseproducts.com/lock ... _picks.htm
