When you get here go to Wal-Mart, they sell Master Locks, also Brinks padlocks have security pins in them.

i dont think any of the masterlocks have spools.
but the brinks House Key Padlock(101-45091) is sold at walmart and according to the packaging it has "Anti-pick" spool pins [i picked it within 40 seconds my first time. i dont belive it.]

The master #40 or 140 has spools in it its a brass encased lock easy to find. A master #1, 3 or 5 are notoriously easy no spools in them they are also easy to find. Hope this helps and have fun on your trip!

Thing is i have trouble finding which pin is binding when i just pin pick 1 2 3 4 5 and when i feel a pin a bit hard i would push it up to the shearline until it feels a little bit softer. I need a challange Now and ive never ever pin picked a lock with spools only yales when i had a yale repinned to 2 standard and 1 spool to kinda see how hard it was but the yale didnt have a ring on it so it was maybe a bit harder anyway. is the masterpadlocks keyway smaller or bigger than yale.
Thx

If you can't find a masterlock 140 you might be able to find its little brother the 130, which uses the same cylinder/spools. These are only four pin locks though, a Brinks would keep you occupied for longer without being unreasonable (like that ASSA )

I'm not sure of the keyway sizes, I've just begun picking. I only have master locks. The way I get around spools is to use very light tension, when you push up a spool to what feels like the shear line of a regular pin, push up a little harder, it it makes the tension wrench push back on your finger, it is not set. ease up on tension and push it past the shear line. With multiple spools it's the same, you just have to be careful how much tension you let off so the other ones don't fall back. My first lock that I picked was a master no. 140. It kicked my butt for a while until I read up on what spools feel like.
With my limited experience the best advice I can give you is to use as little tension as you can. I've found that the right tension is almost more important than the pick I was using. Then again I'm new, so what do I know?

Not most of the time. If you want to buy padlocks in packs of 4 or more, your best stop is eBay.
