SOme nice DIY handll's by Newbie

Okay if your like me brebought handels are cool, but i get bored and just mess with stuff till i get a few good ideas, so say you just got your new SO's and want a comfy grip without sacrificing feel, and you can remove the handle if you don't like it with no damage heres a few coolllll ideas especially for newbies, yea i have your back brotha man!!

Pick#1 The electrician at our job site ripped a bunch of wires out the wall to rewire, so i took um and made what sin pic one, there comfy easy and anyone can do them. Even on a homebrew bogata ninja style for all the ningas in the forums
Pick#2 Popsickle sticks with some sanding and hot glue, maybe some stain... very very easy and also nice and comfortable. Also theres some examples how to make you pick stand out from the crowd for all the cool guys and ladies out there.

The popsicle sticks i would say hands down are great, i just finished putting stain and clear sealler on them, to give the pro finish on a DIY project, there great you can even slear coat them to give a deep deep shine although i'm not i will post a pick of the finished project including sanding till rounded and smoth then the stain nd final finish.. i am a construction worker.. its like second nature i had to

Finished product, i first sanded all edges smooth, coated with a good stain, whiped till dry, then repeated. Then used a gloss coat to finish her up. There is a crack that i didnt notice, but with the sealer and stain its not going anywhere, and its comfy as heck in my hands. The pics okay, shows the nice shine... ehh i had to do something during my day off... its rare trust me

And the pick is just a standard small diamond SO that i modded into a hybrid andfter some bending and banging its came out good i am satisfied. Tell me what you guys think of it pretty nifety and cost? 0$ no cents. Thats what i like to hear.

P.S. The popsicle sticks are a cool idea. Capt.dunc did something like that a long long time ago (the thread's still around somewhere I'm sure) and painted them up all pretty-like. Nice stuff. Always thought I'd try it, and never really did. But they're a sweet idea, so nice work!

And... I was kidding about the banana, but I can't pass up a chance at some fine self-deprecating humour.

Hmm i knew i couldnt have been the first, haha i know it was a joke DB in fact all my buddies that try to learn picking and such, i just show them your video and tell them to practice it, my one buddy was drunk and tried.. cut himself making the pick and gave up.. he'll never be a good picker!! Wow His handles own!!! I am going to try some stuff stuff i will keep updating this, And yes just to be a pain int he arse i will make the official LP101 DB appreciation pick (gulp) i hope DB doesn't laugh and hits the ban buttom by accident I shall excersize caution.

The handle shape on that Bogota in the first picture is fantastic. It looks like it would handle a lot better than the standard style in which the handle can also be used as a tension tool. When I get around to making another one of my own it will have to be along those lines I think. Nice job!
