what you did was great. You gave me the sticking points when you turned your dial CLOCKWISE. What I want you to do now is give me the sticking points for COUNTER-CLOCKWISE. They should be the same, but there should be minor differences. I would like you to do that.

Ok, sorry for being difficult, but Im kinda lazy. Can you quote my post and insert the numbers? So you should have 20 numbers total, 10 for the sticking points when you turn clockwise, and 10 for when you gho counter clockwise.

rayman452 wrote:Ok, I just did Sabin's lock right now, and Im not 100% sure I got this perfect. I think we have to open our mind for even more possibility, though I narrowed it down to 4 probable numbers.

If you got results, please post them. Even if you think they might not be very accurate, I would still like to know how close you are.

Do you want me to do the same as Zodiac and post the sticking points for both directions?

yo-

I'm definitely interested, this looks like fun. But I seem to be running into a problem finding dudley locks.

I live in pennsylvania, usa, anyone know of somewhere I could go to find some of these locks?

(please don't post like"i think you can get it at" only respond to this question if you have actually gotten one where you say ... thanks :) )

Well, almost any major store. Try Wal-Mart, Home Hardware (or Home Depot), Lowes, and even some larger grocery stores. I've seen them at Wal-Mart and Home Hardware, but I know they're in the other ones, at least where I live. Some high school also sell them to students for lockers (such as mine, $5 CAD each). Hope this helps. :)

Just FYI Orange, I don't recall seeing Dudley locks for sale in any store around here, Home Depot and Lowes included. I suspect availability is regional, with a strong bias towards Canada.

Basically with these Dudley combo types of locks i've found that the best way to open them is to do every single combination posssible. The gate nothches gve you the real number and a dudley is a twelve gater. some tips too like the first and second gate are usually at least 2 gates apart from each other. by doing every combo out there is should take like 20-25 minutes, so if you can get away with that without looking too suspicious AND you have the patience then the lock is yours.

The dudley has 10 gates on the third wheel, 9 flase, 1 true. See the pictures I posted 2 pages ago in this thread.

Cheers.

rayman, I think I gave you the sticking points for two different locks. Could you tell me the sticking points you used for my lock so I know which one you tried to crack. Then I can give you the sticking points for both directions.
