Well first i searched around the rules and faq's to make sure i didn't piss anyone off. A little bit of patience and some common sense goes along way.

can anyone confirm on the type of lock?

I have a lock very simmiler to that, I'll have to dig it up and take a look. Nice video btw.

Does holding the lock in your hand like that train one to pick incorrectly as you get used to picking the lock at an angle that you would never find a lock at on a door? I put my locks in a vice at an angle that you would find on a door to simulate picking a lock for 'real'.

I could do it at any angle really, after opening it the initial 4 or so times i very quickly found the binding pin, and it because very simple after that, a quick rake across the back pins, push up hard on pin 4 and walaa. That was just the best angle to get the pressure where i needed it quickly. Its a bit more difficult after i stuck the spool pin in the middle somewhere and re-arranged the pins.
