It only requires about 2 braincells to actually visualize how this would not work

Ahhhh, some people eh.

Plus, this could work if you have a key that had telescoping for the vertical and axial adjustable bittings. Also have a single blank that you could add + subtract pieces to to make it fit your key way. You could also add + subtract the bittings themselves. It would be a key made out of some kind of legos. You guys have no imagination.

It would work fine, Stop shooting down peoples ideas, geez :P

falle makes programmable keys, but they aren't for bumping. they're mostly used after decoding or impressioning. and while programmable bitting might be reasonable, programmable warding is probably not practical.

A snap gun is pretty much a universal bump key, they work by the same mechanism, randomness

Yeah, but once you've made the key for a specific keyway, there will be locks which it won't fit still.....quite a few in fact!

If you made a key/bump key/whatever for every lock there would be nothing left of the key you started with!

Te bloke is a 1 post wonder......don't know about you, but I get rather cheesed when people use their first post to make a tit of themselves.

The fact of the matter is, If you set about making a key to fit all locks, It would cease to be a key by the time you machined it to fit th second lock on your list.

Im talking about the Easy Entrie Key machine that can code cut key blanks for any keyway with the same keyblank.
