bumping is overrated

Well,

My opinion of general bumpkeys instead of picking is as said in that thread but on things like MTL they are most definatly a good resource to have,

Trying to pick a lock and fail? i dont know what that feels like i wouldnt then get the bump keys out as i dont use them nor use them,

As for being a lockie and not getting in its never happend and never will, theres always a way to get in, i have on occasion left a lock after a while to try a differant entry point but the tools available in a lockies arsenal mean you have quite a few options to get in that door before you have to start worrying about what the other doors or windows are like,

But, wouldnt you admit that sometimes a cylinder with a supertight keyway, that you have difficulty even getting your turning wrench into....might be a better candidate for bumping?

Not in front of a customer no, in practical terms yes but in the customers eyes the lock theyve spent a lot more money on aquireing (dont forget a tight keyway to us is one thats been specially ordered most of the time as ours are tighter than yours anyway) doesnt look well if its opened in seconds by smacking it with a modified key in the lock,

Hence the reason a special bumpkey gun is/was designed and being improved on, i would have no issue bringing out a complicated looking tool to open the lock,
