For those of you wondering about the shirt he was wearing, lp101 sold shirts at a con last year (or two years ago I forget. It just hangs in my closet).

This story is so incredibly plausible it is almost sad. I especially like the FA's comment on "little knives" Good thing you didn't have a Peterson DAME bypass set on you.

What kind of Medeco? Zeke79 has a video of himself single-pin picking a Biaxial several times in about 6 minutes. I imagine it would be even easier to rake with the right tool, but as I still have trouble consistently picking the one pin I have in my Medeco payphone lock at the moment, I'm certainly no expert.

zeke had the lock in his hand and knew the lock too.
on a plane, turbulence, narrow corridor....... probably 30+ min

Dodging air marshal bullets...maybe you're right.

Regarding the lack of media coverage: the news will only have two angles here: guy gets arrested for suspicious activities or airline screws up big and freaks out over nothing. In this case the airline did freak out over nothing, but most people watching the news wouldn't think they screwed up due to the nature of lockpicks. What news outlet is going to report that the airline freaked out at first but then realized he was trained and authorized to carry them as part of his contract work?

The fact that there's no clear-cut bad guy here means that there will be little, if any, coverage of the incident.

news

Postby raimundo » 2 May 2007 9:42

It only gets on the news if one of the chickenlittles call the station and report it, the tsa do not report their idiocies, nor do the airlines, its bad for business. plus, the tv stations only do so many stories in their 20 minutes of canned and cooked "news" if they had more interesting stuff that day, its not news. the whitehouse knows this and manipulates it, throughout the seven years off R.I.C.O. party domination, the congress always passed the 'patriot' acts late at night on a weekend to avoid the news cycle so that true patriots who support the constitution, not the boypresident and his corrupt regime will not know that they have been mugged again. Generally, homeland suckerity is a comic opera operation.
Not a place for intelligent people, its a part of the campaign to spread and keep up the fear that gets the R.I.C.O. party elected when it works, this is no longer the home of the brave, its the country of fearmongering lying criminal rule of whim politicians. No intelligent and focused interest on terrorism exists, only a general spreading of fear tactics for the propaganda effect. This is why bush and bin laden cooperate in spreading terrorism by creating new ones every day, they want the war to last forever and being intelligent and focused won't help them do that. these politicians should be judged just like they say that teachers should be judged, on outcomes. They have taken an insignificant terrorist movement and created support for it through out a population of one billion muslims who will not remain mired in the 19th century throughout the entire 21st century. Everything they touch gets corrupted and this outcome is not the result of stupidity, its planned. They have never once told the truth in many years, its just more of the clintonimpeachment style of politics and the people who vote for them are either corrupt or cowards.
