I wonder why no one came up with a computer program for this yet.

I'm in software engineering. If I knew all the rules I could write a simple VB program.

Anyway, my dial is black

It seems like everyone else has points between two numbers. Am I posting the opposite numbers? These are the max/min numbers I can get to when I jiggle the dial.

I will withhold the actual combo for now. I'll post it later if anyone guesses.

The points between 2 numbers are the middle points in those cticking points, not the notches. You can easily figure them out from the sticking points.

We need an Excel graph for this. Rayman, if you can give me every bit of info you have for these locks (used in the chart), and any particular bits that have to be taken into account, I should be able to whip up a decent graph, with the 3 possible (3 up, 3 down alternates, and calculated one) combos in for each.

I had a new idea for these locks: Is there, by any chance, any sort of link or ratio between the combo numbers (i.e. (1st #)x(ratio or multiplier number)= (2nd #), or any link between first-second, first-third, second-third, etc. numbers? It sort of popped in my head in class today (probably a Monday thing  ), and I was wondering if it had any possibility of being right. Just chucking ideas onto the table, and seeing what works.

I'm guessing we'll have to go without those interior pics, at least for a while. Oh well, we've pretty much got this already. :)

Sorry for taking so long to make a chart, Cadets takes up alot of my time. Ill get it done soon though, and if you posted sticking points, remember to tell me waht the dial colour is. When are we getting interior picks anyways?

There are many different letters but I don't know what they mean. My Dudleys have an E and a B on the back of them.

------

I'm getting the same sticking points as frostbyte in regards to the halves. Here they are so you can see what I mean:

0.5-3.5
6.5-9.5
12.5-15.5
18.5-21.5
24-28
30-34
36.5-39.5
42.5-45.5
48-51.5
54.5-57.5

Try to crack my lock too. The dial is blue.

rayman452, could you explain in more detail how you plotted the lines on your graph. I understand that the numbers to the combination are where the intersection points are, but I don't know how to plot the lines. If you explain how you plot a point using the x and y axis, and the importance of the dial's color, that would probably help.

Ok, that was some extra long french homework...lets get back to the combination. First of all, I think you guys are omitting some numbers. I lost my book with all the numbers, but Im pretty sure theere are 12 sticking points. THe numbers I ploted were jusdt the sticking points of the dial, and the x-axis was the "numbered" position. EG, the 1st sticking place is 3, then the three is plottd on the y-axis, and it is on the number 1 for the x-axis. the 5 sticking point would be on the 5th number of the x-axis...etc. The colour of the dial makes a huge difference, becaus elike orange and others said above, the dial seems to mean a different type of disk on the inside of the lock. Im making the chart right now, and trying to do it with excel. I promise it up today.

ok, massif, this is what I believe would be your combination. Excell is actually good, let me experiment with another way, but doesnt work with your lock, because of your first number being 59 or so. From what I can see, I believe your combination is 48-5-22. If someone else can see another combo, tell me...

, this forum need an edit button. The ones in the orange circles mean that their fake for sure. If the combo I first said didnt work, then its 11-52-22...if neither of them work, I'll go back and study the chart, creating more combinations.

For everyone else who posted sticking numbers, can you repost them with the colour of the dial?
