Does the key need to be cut to a specific pin height for it to work?

Yes, read around the site and use the search for more advice, type in bumping and youll get loads, basically the key has to be the deepest cuts plus .5mmish.

Or.... deepest cut *minus* .5 mm depending on how you look at it. :) Bottom line, around .5 mm *deeper* than the deepest cut.

Sorry for not having time to answer everyone's questions recently. I have been away from my terminal and have been without Internet access. Sad, but true. :-(

Anyway, I wanted to say that the first wave of prototypes have been sent to the testers as of TODAY via Priority Mail, and that they should start receiving them within the next few days. If you're in Illinois, you will receive yours tomorrow. :-P

That being said, if anyone is looking forward to purchasing one of these, I currently estimate that the final units will be completed by the end of January.

Thanks for the support, everyone!

Picked up KEbump from the PO tonight. First impressions are looking good. I will post back with results after I have spent some time with it. :P

I have been trying to put together a review of the KeBump, but have been pretty dang sick for a while now. I just got back from the doctor today and bronchitis has turned into walking pnumonia so I may be down for a bit longer yet. I will try and get a review up asap as I know everyone wants to hear some feedback 8) .

Although I've had excellent results with cutting by hand, the particular key used in the video was code-cut by machine.

No one's going to hold it against you, zeke. :-P

Just concentrate on getting better, and I'll be more than happy to poke fun at you once you're back in health! :-D

Just received the KeBump in the mail today (thanks Omi). Will post full review in a couple days once I've had the opportunity to play with it some.

Cheers!
