Has anyone else seen the new ANSI standards for High Security Cylinders? The Grade A group testing is sick. 10 2500 lb punches on the face of the cylinder and then 10 2500 lb pulls fron the inside of the plug, 300 in-lb of torque exerted on the plug, 15 minutes of drilling anywhere the testers deem "weak", and then they turn the wrong key (thus binding the pins) 250,000 times....
On top of that 5 ALOA master locksmiths each get 15 minutes to pick it, electric picking for 15 minutes, there have to be 10,000,000 different key combinations.
The gap between the cylinder and the hull cannot be larger than .002" and each part has a designate minimum finish that it mush meet.
I mean JEEZ!!!!! What are some cylinders that pass that?!
