Auto Jigglers

Postby jstra01 » 7 Jan 2004 1:53

I recently purchased a set of Auto Jigglers and was wondering if there was a certain key for certain makes of vehicles. Or is it just a try one by one thing? Is there one that "out performs" all others? Also, is there a certain "picking" method that seems to produce results? I've had no luck so far.

Thanks.

I have a set too and most of the time it doesnt work. Im guessing that you need to vary the amount of tension you place on the jigglers to get it to work, and it depends on the car/lock. The older the car is the more easier it seems for these tools to work.

U vary the tension...wiggle while puting tension on......try at different angles and wiggle or without wiggling them around......no not key specific......the only thing they will probally open is older cars.........but I could open my ford with the two outside prongs of a fork removed and the middle two squeezed together LOL

Yes its true with the older fords.......e.g fiesta/cortina/escort....but there again you are talking 1980's locks u cud open them with anything........with a wiggle...especially a similar size key.

auto jigglers work great on new cars depending on what set you have. They work for most all hondas, acuras, nissan, dodge, jeep, mazda and a couple other cars. ford and chevy they work to open the door thats about it but they have other sets that work on lots more cars.

Repoman,

Which, if any, jiggler usually works for fords? I've been trying to get into my 2001 F-150 and I just can't seem to get it to work.

Thanks.

jstra01 the s looking one works and the round tip and some times the small double saw hope that helps. you wont be able to do the ignition though because of the side bar

lockpicktools.com has a 12 piece set of auto jigglers and they seem to be the lowest price of all the other ones on line.My friend bought a set and we were supprised that he was able to open up his chev pick up truck so fast.

I have a sheet with a basic guide line to the tool that people have had the best luck with and on what vehicle. If I could find out how to put this info into my scanner I would be glad to post for all to see. These jigglers do work but it takes practice and a light feel.

:?: Hi if you wanted to remove a car door lock quickly and efficiently (eg in an emergency) without damaging the lock itself from the outside what tool could be used?

To REMOVE a car door? I think you'd probably get much better answers on some other forum. Automobile disassembly really isn't very close to lockpicking.

Best bet is to get a locksmith to do it, or the local authorised automotive franchise.

there is no such tool

the closest thing are some fords have spring clips on the latch side of the door that can be removed and this releases the lock out of the dor.

however you have to get the door open.

do like the rest of us do and take the door apart
and fit a key to it in your van
