That does look neat. Why would you have it like that to conceal them or is it just easier than the case they came with?

there was once a pen said to be made for NASA for the space program, they marketed it, it was smoothly rounded on both ends, and so it easily fell out of pockets. with a couple of rubber rings around the center, it would not have found it so easy to slide under its own weight agains cloth. anyway the story goes that nasa spent a million for an ink pen that would work in ) gravity, while the soviets use mechanical pencils.

Ive seen that russian thing Ray, made me chuckle for as long as i remembered what i was laughing about, it was somthign like the russians do things that have to be done without all the bells and whistles lol
Those nasa pens i can just about remember, they were around £50 and could write upside down for errm i guess so the missus can write the shopping list on her back

they're alot cheaper now...
let me quote the fisher web page here
Fisher Pen Company wrote:At nearly 50 pounds per square inch, ink is continuously fed to the tungsten carbide ball, allowing the user to write at any angle, even upside down. This advancement required the development of a special ink. The new visco-elastic ink, with a consistency similar to that of very thick rubber cement, flows as a result of the shearing action of the rolling ball in its socket.. This shearing action liquifies the solid gel thixotropic ink, allowing the pen to write smoothly and dependably on most surfaces and even under water. Evaporation, wasted ink and back leakage are eliminated. Shelf-life is increased to an estimated 100 years.
also it is not effected by temperature allowing people who need to (police, security...) write outside in the middle of a Canadian winter...

I have one of those space pens. It was given to me as a gift a while back. It is one of the few pens I can safely place in my car under the Florida sun without having to worry about it exploding or just plain not working.
They come in many different shapes and sizes these days. You can order them from:

I highly recommend the triple-action pen with the stylus.
What all of this has to do with my pick case, I have no idea

I used the Sharpie pen as my case because I was looking for a case that:
* Would not bend easily (hard) * Would not draw attention to my picks (inconspicuous) * Would fit easily inside my laptop bag without sliding all over the place
Sharpies give you all of that and more... When I place the two side-by-side they fit perfectly snug inside my "cell phone" pouch in my laptop bag.
Also, I noticed that the thick Sharpie case fits nicely into a screwdriver pocket in most tool cases/pouches. This would be highly convenient if you wanted to carry your picks around along with your other tools.

You forgot to mention the best part. They are much cheaper than those fancy leather cases.
