Wow that works really well. It's a much better idea than the other video that was recently posted, where he bent the tension wrench so it sprung back in the opposite direction.

just tried it on my kwikset. Worked pretty well once I got it down, the trick about just beding the tension wrench also worked.
First time I tried either one, glad it worked.

I just tried it and and after a few attempts I got it to work. The only problem is that the tension wrench got loose from the key way and flew across my bedroom and now I can't find it.  On the upside, I used my home made tension wrench so I don't really care that it flew away to never be found again. I'll just make another. 
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture

Drill a hole through the end of the wrench and thread the band through that and then push the end through the loop of itself to tie it on,
