need help with lockpicking

first i having trouble with the dead bolt locks on my house i cant seem to get them opened i dont know what im doing wrong or if there is some trick to it, also my car door can someone tell me what type of pick is best for a car door and some hints to get it open.

Ok, so on the offchance (however slight) that you are serious, observe the following rules:

DO NOT PICK ANY LOCKS THAT ARE IN USE, there is an above average chance of you destroying them.

Do not discuss automotive picking in the open forum, the mods will ban you if you continue doing it.

If you actually are interested in picking as a hobby, go down to the hardware store, buy a crappy 5 pin door lock, read the MIT Guide and work your way from there.
