Just wondering when i can expect access/invitation to the advanced forum.
I got some abloy locks on order, and i've done a lot of research on how they work, but obviously getting hands on with it would be better....i need to know how to dismantle and re-assemble it.
Cheers
p.s Sorry if it sounds like i'm asking, I'm not.....i just want to know how long I can expect to wait

Have you applied for access? If you have PM one of the moderators and they can give you an idea of when the voting will be.

Going to the area thats titled:
Advanced Locks Information
Read how to gain access to the Advanced Locks forums, click on the link to apply after reading the qualifications. This is for the higher levels of locks and is invite only.
OR
Posting a redundant thread with a question that has been asked and answered hundreds of times, that shows you don't pay attention to the forum and don't search which are fundemental qualities that they look for in a person interested in advanced access....

Alright, alright, no need to be pedantic!
I don't visit other areas of the forums, I don't have time. When i post on here, it is in between my work and i don't have time for other forums. Obviously, before you start splitting hairs, i will be visiting the advanced forum as well as this one if i should be granted access.

I think what UWSDWF is trying to say, is all that information already exists in the Adv Forum Information forum-thread. You have to request for access, and you will hear back in 45 to 90 days whether you have been approved or not.

I was under the impression that i could not get into the advanced forum at all, so diddn't even bother trying (i know on other forums when you wnat to go in a forum you have no access to, you get a lack of permissions message......i didn't realise here you could actually view the stickies and not the rest of the threads).
Thanks for clearing that up though

I guess I don't understand. You apply for access, the mods vote yes or no. If you get 2 no votes you are refused access. Where does invitation come into it anywhere? I'm have advanced access. I applied when I met the requirements. Noone sent an invitation.

It's easy to understand, when you request access you must wait until a review of your behavior, attitude and post quality has been made. If you have been accepted or not, you will receive a PM saying so.
Seeing a PM granting access means you have been invited.

Make guides.
Post any lock breakdowns that might be usefull.
Help newbies with any knowledge you have.
It really isn't that hard to show peiople you know that you're talking about.
Make sure you meet the entry requirements and then follow the instructions in the thread UWSDWF linked you to.
You have to request for access, and you will hear back in 45 to 90 days whether you have been approved or not.
What-the-fookety!?!? 45 to 90 days?!?!?
I'm pretty sure I got accepted as soon as my request was received - I met entry requirements and so was let in the day my request was received.
I think the mods and admin just didn't like you Raccoon.
