Thanks! It was a long time in the making but I think it is an effective guide to learning to pick locks.
I am planning to release it in hard copy for the low low price of only $5.95 + Shipping. It is handy to keep by when you just can't seem to get that last pin to set.
If anyone wants a copy PM me.

Nice...and fairly useful advice too!
However, under the assumption that a newbie might want slightly more detailed advice, let me suggest what is generally known as the MIT Guide, which can be found all over the Web, including at http://www.lysator.liu.se/mit-guide/mit-guide.html

Wow, I wish you'd released your book when I started picking. You'd be surprised at how much this book will help to improve your picking ability.
Congrats on the book Guitar J and I am looking forward to your next one.
If it ain't broke.....pull it down and see how it works anyway!

Stewpot, both of your posts contain errors, but thats okay. I must also suggest reading the MIT guide, and the FAQs on this site. Your description of your locks, vis. your padlock and doorlock leave everything to be desired. Is there any text on them? On the keys?
Good luck and welcome to the site.
