I'll tell ya one thing you can do, don't post the same question twice.
Umm...
I asked the same question about picks and their different shapes and styles, CaptHook and romstar gave a good answer, I'll have pity and pull up the post
http://www.lockpicking101.com/viewtopic.php?t=3142
As for picking Tubulars, Search for info on here about them... there is a ton, including how to make your own tubular picks, how to pick them with regular picks, how to pick them with a Southord PIck (Dr. Dave gave a good FAQ on this) Search grasshoppa... Search...
I wish the world was flat like the old days, and I could travel just by folding the map.

first of all you need a tubular pick for a tubular lock. I am not saying you cant do it with standard picks but if its an 8 pin tubular then you will have to pick it 8 times to get it open. As far as which pick is which i suggest you read the mit guide.

Ok, I'm going to try to clear up some of the confusion here.
What did you search for? What did you enter into the search field?
Can you post a picture of the lock that you're trying to pick? If not, are there any distinguishing marks on it that can help us help you (Brand name, warding pattern, etc.)
What does the key look like? Does it look like a "sawtooth" or like a cylinder?
Have you read ALL of the MIT guide? It seems like you're lacking some of the major information it conveys.
If you can answer these, it will help us IMMENSELY to help you. Thanks.

Check viewtopic.php?t=3142 for the uses. Just practice with the excercises in the MIT to get started. Probably ought to use the short hook and the half diamond with steep angles until you get a good feel for the lock.
