I'd love to help you, but I've no idea what you just said... I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul...

It seems your instructions are referring to a standard pin-tumber lock.

I've never worked inwards or outwards on a tubular lock.... But, I've worked around clockwise and counter-clockwise.

Even then... I had more success by testing each pin and working the one that was binding. In other words... no specific order.

Lol..
franko452000..wow. The first half of your post was somewhat recognizeable, then the next half was like totally whack. Lol, im guessing before you typed this post you drank a whole 6 pack of red bull energy drinks, and they all started kicking in around the end of your post. Something like that

Lol

Red Bull isnt really something that would put you 'under the infulence'.
Its just an energy drink full of caffein (<<spelling?) and a few other things that just wake you up and make you energetic. But i guess drinking a whole 6 pack probably would make you so wired you would seem like your drunk or something.

I simply meant that franko was so wired he was just not paying attention to what he was typing. Implying that he just typed without looking or trying to type, just putting down random words, while trying to stay on topic. And the fact that every punctuation mark in that post were exclamation points (!), that also sends 'mixed messages' lol in the first sentence he actually has an exclamation point followed by a period (!.) :D

serious answer - you're supposed to work in toward out (would that be outward?)

I dont know of a technique to work it inward.

Why must these people type the way they speak? Is it really too much effort to organize one's thoughts into something more than half@$$ed abbreviations spackled between sentence fragments? If you truley wanted an answer to the question, isn't it worth the time to think about how you are going to word the question?

Of course those without a mastery of the language are exceptions.

Not a flame, just an observation.

Is it just me... or is there some sort 'missed the concept' fog in the room?

Tubular locks are round. All the pins are exposed and each are the same distance from the front of the lock. There is no such concept as inward and outward. Even if there were such a concept, (as with inline pin tumbler locks)... You still will have better success picking the lock by determining the bound pin first.

There is no defacto order.

Yea- To get a full explanation on the workings of a tubular lock, use the search button. Its been hashed and re-hashed before. 8)

nonono - I mean, how the actual tubular pick works - insert, remove a bit, twist, insert, repeat. - correct me if I'm wrong, but that works the pins from furthest IN to their shear lines. - (out)

THATS what I was saying.

Doooh!! :) I thought he was manually picking it one pin at a time. Okay... disregard everthing I said.... I was trying the help the poor guy do it the ole fashioned way. :D

Tubular picks... I push all the way in. Then relax out just a tiny bit before applying the rotating action.

I have no experience with tubular locks. All I want to say is, I love some of the questions and replies here! These are one of the reason I think this is one of the best board on the net.
