Nowadays its hard to find materials for our Locksmith's project. However, if you areup to a TOP PIN HOLDERfor an Almont Rekey padlock, or just a good pin stopper. There is an easy material i found out. The Steel wire of a Bookbinder clip. Its 1.5mm dia.(some 1.6mm) and 86mm in lenght. Youcan grindit or handfile to what you desire.(bend it first while its still round, when you get your "shape" then grind or handpile)
Important Tips *The wire is a good tempered steel
*It can be normally bend only once at a 90 to 95 degrees
angle.
*Bend it slowly with a vise grip, gripping it firmly at your
atyour bending point, tapping with a hammer.
*Observe Safety for yurself always.
