What exactly did you do? Did you make a copy of an existing key using the stick as a blank or did you impression the lock? Or something all together different?
It's not the tools that open the lock. It's me.

i pulled the plug out

cut a stick down so it would fit in the keyway

used a 1/16 drill bit for the inner dimple and a nail punch to make the largwe outer dimple

that got me thinking - someone want to try that with a kaba?

perhaps moisten the stick or use wet balsa wood or something...

thats how i matched up the wards in the back of the lock

however once it dried it shrank and no longer was a perfect fit.

next time (if that ever happens) i will put the stick in the microwave for a minute to cook off any moisture first
