Need Help picking a Masterlock 930 & 911

Postby silentstorm16 » 24 Dec 2012 0:30

This is my first real post. I have been lock picking for few years now. I have picked almost all locks without no security pins primarily with bogota picks. Now I have moved on to the master lock 930 & 911. I am using a peterson lite pry bar and a peterson hook. I use the pry bar for top opening and use very lite tension while picking from rear to front. I am able to get about three pins on both locks and get a false set, but after that I am lost. Can somebody help me out thanks.

Try lifting each pon in turn after the false set. One of them will cause the tension bar to turn backwards a little. This is the spool pin. Carefully lift it until it sets, being careful not to over set the pin. Then try the other pins for the same reversig effect. When you have them all, the lock will open!

Good luck,

Gordon

Gordon is right. With some practice you will be able to let the plug counter rotate a bit and push the spool past the sheer line. When you let up a bit on the tension sometimes you can even hear the springs for the spools squeaking a bit when you try to lift them or the pins will sometimes feel a bit spongy too as opposed to solid for a set pin.

Do you have the keys to these locks? When I get stumped I look a the bitting on the key and compare it to the positions of the keypins in the lock to figure out which pins I should try first. For example if pin 2 is a deep cut and pin 3 is a shallow cut but they are in roughly the same height in the keyway I know I need to push pin 3 higher.

Yes I have the keys. I'll take a look. I was able to pick the o11 but was unable to open the clasp. Only managed to have the key spin all the way around. I'll take a look tonight. Thanks again.
