second post on this forum, now i want to show off my noob lockpick making skills

the 4 set of picks on the left were made yesterday, dont pay a lot of attention to them, as i did not try to make good tools, i just wanted to get acquainted with making lockpicks

rate the 4 set on the right, those i tried to make even and with identical handles and shafts

- i only used a grinder to make everything on the picture
- picks are made out of hacksaw blades

You may want to grind of the bade on the new ones. Other than that they look good.

Have you tried them yet?

That is one heck of a tension bar. Almost resembles a crowbar. I guess if the picks fail, you'll get in no matter what.

You get high points for creative thinking, and improvisation.

You are getting better on that grinder, I will say that without hesitation. Keep at it, and use as many of the images and templates as you can find here on the forums.

You are improving. If I were you, I would find some wiper blade inserts and try your hand at those too. Less material to deal with, and they are a little less apt to break on you than hacksaw blade picks.
